Marketing Drive has been named agency of record for Pernod Ricard USA’s portfolio of wines and champagnes.

The agreement, which takes effect in February, covers 17 brands including Jacob’s Creek, Wyndham Estate, Perrier-Jouët, Sandeman and GHMumm.

Gene Chmiel, the agency’s chief creative officer will take the lead on the account, Gretchen Mullin, a spokesperson for Marketing Drive, said.

About 55 programs will be developed annually with first work breaking in 2009, she said.

Marketing Drive had been working with Pernod since early 2006 as one of its consumer promotion agencies of record on whiskeys and cordials, including Wild Turkey, Jameson, Kahlua, Malibu, The Glenlivet and Ballantine’s.
