Grand Central Marketing Promotes Two, Hires One

Grand Central Marketing has promoted two employees and has hired an account manager.

Andrew Yard, 36, was promoted to senior account director from account director. He has managed the “Crush in the City” tour for Robert Mondavi Private Selection, and has also spearheaded campaigns for clients Bravo, Harley Davidson and Oscar Mayer. He joined GCM in 2007 from Synergy Sports were he was an account director in the New York office. The new position began April 1.

Joining the agency is Meredith Gaffney, 25, as an account manager in the Los Angeles office. Most recently, she worked at RedPeg Marketing handling such clients as Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, Del Monte Foods and Campbell Soup Co. At GCM Gaffney will be working on promotions for General Growth Properties. Her post took effect Mar. 15.

Also promoted April 1 was Keith Fernbach to vice president, public relations from public relations director.

Fernbach, 35, has been with the agency since 2004. He has led the publicity efforts for client Del Monte Foods’ Meow Mix brand, helping to bring worldwide attention to such successful campaigns as the Meow Mix Café, the Meow Mix House reality show and the Meow Mix Acatemy. He has also handled PR for GCM clients HBO, National Geographic, Warner Bros. and FOX Television. He works out of GCM’s New York office.

GMC is an event marketing, promotion and public relations agency.
