Euro RSCG Names John Minnec Exec Director
Euro RSCG Chicago has named John Minnec executive director, a new post.
He is charged with overseeing the agency’s business development, interactive and general advertising efforts. He reports to president and CEO Ron Bess. The position takes effect immediately.
Minnec will assume some of the agency management responsibilities formerly held by Zain Raj, who was recently promoted to CEO of Euro RSCG Discovery.
Most recently, Minnec worked as president of Draftfcb London where he was responsible for overall operations and client services. While in London, he also led the agency’s business development team, helping to win six new accounts, and was responsible for several global accounts including Nokia and Computer Associates.
Minnec led holistic efforts for the U.S. Postal Service account at Draft Chicago. Prior to joining Draft more than 11 years ago, he ran the largest division of the Sears account for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising. He has also spent time at Grey Advertising working on General Electric and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, as well as Leo Burnett as a copywriter on Procter & Gamble. From 1990 to 1993, Minnec was President of his own boutique agency, Moesch & Minnec Advertising.
