EMAK Promotes Kramer, Hires Boutros
EMAK Worldwide has promoted Jon Kramer to the new post of president-integrated marketing services.
Los Angeles-base EMAK also hired Peter Boutros to replace Kramer as CEO of Logistix Worldwide, overseeing premiums work in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Kramer will work with execs at EMAK’s Equity Marketing, Upshot and Logistix divisions to cross-sell the shops’ capabilities and boost incremental revenue. Kramer joined EMAK in 2005 and oversaw the consolidation of EMAK’s premiums business (including Megaprint, Pop Rocket and SCI Promotions in the U.S. and Logistix in the U.K.) under the Logistix umbrella. Boutros, an Australian, had been chief operating officer for premiums shop The Creata Co., and earlier held several posts at The Walt Disney Co., including VP-international marketing and global brand development.
Boutros “has a well-deserved reputation of building high-energy teams that produce results and have a strong esprit de corps,” said EMAK CEO Jim Holbrook in a statement.
EMAK’s revenues fell nearly 17% to $223.4 million for 2005. Holbrook blames the loss of client Subway Sandwiches & Salads and falling sales at Logistix.
Last month, EMAK promoted Tracy Tormey to chief administrative officer, overseeing centralized departments including business affairs, corporate product integrity, human resources, information technology, internal audit, investor relations and office administration. Tormey had been executive VP-general counsel and secretary.
At the same time, Shannon Brown added the title of senior VP-worldwide operations for EMAK to her continued role as COO for Equity Marketing. Her expanded duties include responsibility for all EMAK’s manufacturing, quality control and distribution. Tormey and Brown split the duties previously held by Bassam Fawaz, who left his post as senior VP-worldwide operations and chief information officer on Feb. 28.
