Draft Taps DeNunzio as NYC President

Peter DeNunzio

Draft FCB has hired agency veteran Peter DeNunzio as president of its New York City office, a new post under Draft's merger with FCB.

DeNunzio had been general manager of global clients at Ogilvy & Mather, New York, and earlier was general manager of direct-marketing shop OgilvyOne. He's been with Ogilvy for 14 years, including stints as managing director for Ogilvy & Mather Paris and regional account director for IBM in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He joins Draft FCB on Sept. 11.

Draft FCB is keen on DeNunzio's experience with integrated marketing, a cornerstone to the merger that marries Draft's direct-marketing and promotions expertise with FCB's ad work under a single P&L. The shops are halfway into a 90-day merger process that began in June, when Draft CEO Howard Draft took charge of the combined agency under parent Interpublic Group of Cos. (PROMO Xtra, June 2, 2006).

DeNunzio has "proven skills in building and managing integrated accounts and teams," said Draft FCB president-COO Laurence Boschetto (and co-chair of the agency's integration team) in a statement. "He is an accomplished leader in the general as well as the direct and interactive space, and he is known for being an early and forceful advocate for providing integrated solutions to clients."

Draft ranked No. 17 in the 2006 PROMO 100 with estimated net revenues of $387.4 million for 2005, up about 6% from 2003.
