Draft Promotes Boschetto as Heir Apparent
Draft, Inc. has promoted Laurence Boschetto to president-CEO of global operations for the agency, grooming him to eventually replace Draft Chairman-CEO Howard Draft.
Boschettowhom Howard Draft calls "my chosen long-term successor"will help gel the Draft brand worldwide, across its 40 offices in 25 countries.
"With marketers continuing to allocate the lion's share of their budgets to more measurable marketing disciplines, these are exciting times for our global organization, and we need to reinforce our senior management ranks to make sure we fully maximize these new opportunities," Draft said in a statement.
Boschetto moves up from his post as president of Draft New York. He is replaced there by Wendy Lurrie, who becomes general manager of the New York office. Lurrie had been executive VP-director of business development and oversaw Draft Digital.
Boschetto and Lurrie are credited with nearly tripling that office's billings since Boschetto took charge there in 2002, bringing in new clients UnitedHealth Group/AARP and Hewlett-Packard.
Boschetto became general manager of Draft New York in 1997 when Draft bought branding shop Adler Boschetto Peebles, where Boschetto had been a co-founder and managing partner.
Chicago-based Draft ranked No. 12 in the 2005 PROMO 100 with estimated net revenues of $356.4 million for 2004, up an estimated 20% from 2002.
