Back joined Draft in early January as senior VP-group account director, a new post. He had been executive VP-client solutions director at Arc Worldwide, overseeing that agency's work for Procter & Gamble, before leaving Arc in May 2005 to become president of package design firm MLR Design, Chicago (Xtra July 5).

His work with privately held MLR was short-lived. "I was the right person for the role at the wrong time," Back said.

At Draft, Back will oversee some client services and assist with new business development. "It's nice to be in an environment with positive momentum," Back told PROMO. "Everything here seems to be clicking on so many levels."
