Civic Entertainment Hires Research and Marketing Director

Civic Entertainment Group has hired Betsy Spethmann as director of research and marketing strategy.

In her new role, she will work on new business development, market research and business sector analysis.

Most recently, Spethmann worked for Promo, a Penton Media publication, where she was senior editor.

Separately, Promo has hired Richard Tedesco as a reporter and writer. He will cover the sports, financial and automotive industries.

Most recently, Tedesco worked as the editor of the Nassau Herald, a weekly newspaper in Nassau County. His prior work includes coverage of the Internet, TV sports and advertising at Broadcast & Cable (now B&C) and Electronic Media (now Television Week).
