FEBRUARY 2001 Christopher Fraleigh, PepsiCo's marketing chief since 1989, was tapped as the new executive director of marketing at Detroit-based General Motors. The post puts him in charge of GM's corporate marketing and advertising activities, as well as the company's credit-card program.
Campbell Soup Co., Camden, NJ, named Douglas Conant president and ceo. Most recently president of Nabisco Foods Co., he succeeds interim ceo David Johnson, who has been running the company since Dale Morrison resigned last March.
Burger King, Miami, named Jim Joy regional vice president for Northeastern U.S. operations.
Universal Studios Home Video, Universal City, CA, named Tami Page vp-retail marketing. The post puts her in charge of promotion development, execution, and partnerships. Elsewhere, Mark Dauw named vp-sales planning and business development.
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Santa Monica, CA, hired former New Line Cinema promotion vp Mary Goss Robino as senior vp-worldwide promotions.
