Birkenstock Names Duncan/Channon AOR
Birkenstock USA has tapped Duncan/Channon as its new agency of record.
As the company's AOR, Duncan/Channon, a Marin Country, CA-based advertising and design firm, will help re-focus and revitalize the Birkenstock brand. In early 2006, the agency will kick off a more consumer-focused brand-marketing campaign that will include consumer advertising, P-O-P, catalogs and other marketing elements.
Historically, the Birkenstock brand's marketing efforts have focused on trade and retail programs.
"Duncan/Channon demonstrated a passion for our brand and an insight into our issues that truly made the group stand out," Birkenstock President Gene Kunde said in a statement. "We're looking forward to an outstanding partnership and a tremendous renewed success."
Birkenstock joins other big-name clients under Duncan/Channon, including Hard Rock International, Clos du Bois, Sega of America, ABC Television, Konami of America and Working Assets.
